Obituary of Rodney R. Getzloff

Rodney R. Getzloff, age 53, of Auburndale passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Burial will be at the Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield, WI Rodney was born October 25, 1961 in Wisconsin Rapids to Eldred and Beulah (Sparks) Getzloff. He served his country in the Army National Guard. For most of his life, Rodney enjoyed being an over the road semi-truck driver, until he retired due to medical issues. He had a passion for driving horses, attending draft horse shows, and spending time with his daughter Leah and other family members. Rodney also enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. Rodney is survived by his daughter, Leah; parents, Eldred and Beulah Getzloff; sisters, Yvonne (Conrad) Kramer, Carrie (Todd) Lau, Lucille (Roy) Millard, and Eunice (Frank) Zimbeck; Godson, Eric Millard; Godmother, Betty Engebretson, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Doug, grandparents, and Godfather, Ben Sawyer, Sr. A memorial will be established at a later date.
