Obituary of Cory Lee Hoffman

Cory Lee Hoffman, age 45, of the Town of Grant, Portage County, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 27, 2014. A memorial visitation will be held at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 1, 2015. Cory was born April 19, 1969 in Wisconsin Rapids to Louis and Judith (Kopelke) Hoffman Sr. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1987. Cory worked at Imation in Nekoosa and most recently as a maintenance worker at Rapids Ford. Cory was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and splitting wood. He loved playing cards with his family, especially Sheepshead. He was a Green Bay Packer fan and liked to hang out with his friends at "The Pines". Cory loved animals; his favorite was his beloved dog Giz Cory is survived by his mother, Judith Knesting, brothers, Louis Hoffman Jr. and Shane (Chris) Hoffman, and sister, Kerrin (Paul) Najemnik, and special niece and nephews, Sara, Brandon, and Dustin Hoffman, all of Wisconsin Rapids. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Hoffman Sr., sister, Robin Prust, grandmother, Elsie Kopelke, and grandparents, Lydia and Henry Stuebs.
