Shirley Jane Plenge, age 89, a long-time resident of Wisconsin Rapids currently residing at St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac, passed away on December 31, 2014. Shirley was born on September 27, 1925, to Ray L. and Lillian (Galema) Frost in Mather, Wisconsin, and grew up in Babcock. On August 26, 1942, she married Ray W. Plenge. They were married for 69 years before he passed away on December 13, 2011.

Shirley was a sweet, caring person who was loved by many. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed sharing her delicious meals with family and friends. Shirley cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Rena (Donn) Stout of Fond du Lac, two grandchildren, Thomas (Tricia) Stout of Stockbridge and Daniel Stout of Monona and three great grandchildren, Owen, Jensen and Mason Stout of Stockbridge, one sister Phyllis (Bill) Cole of Port Edwards and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
