Obituary of Harold John Marth
Harold John Marth, age 90, of Milladore, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Auburndale. Rev. Mark Lundgren will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will take place at the church on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Harold was born May 23, 1924 in Nekoosa, WI to Frank W. and Freida (Randecker) Marth. He graduated from Alexander High School in Nekoosa. Harold served his country with the U.S. Army. Harold married Marion Lee in 1948; Marion preceded him in death in 1953. Harold was united in marriage to Margaret Hetze Cutler in 1963.
Harold worked many years as a time keeper for Consoweld; until his retirement in 1986. He truly enjoyed wood working, landscaping, being outside, and raising his chickens.
He also liked to dance, play cards, and served as a 4-H Leader. Harold took time to write in his journal on a daily basis. He had a strong faith and was a very active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Sherry.
Harold is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Margaret and children: Michael "Mic" Marth, Jerry (Elizabeth) Cutler, Randy (Sally) Cutler, and Susan (Mark) Treml; grandchildren: Nathan Cutler, Claire Eden, Sara Cutler, Hana Beckel, Rob Teska, and Travis Teska; 13 great grandchildren and sister Elenore Wallner. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marion, son Gregory, and son- in-law Russell Teska.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
