Obituary of Marion A. Franks

Marion A. Franks, age 88, of Wisconsin Rapids, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Faith Reformed Church. Rev. Vance Elzinga will officiate. Burial will be at Plainfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home on Thursday, from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Marion was born on August 29, 1926 in Glenwood, Minnesota to Roy and Minnie (Chefloe) Gethers. She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Delton Franks on August 26, 1950 in Bancroft, Wisconsin. Marion was a loving and caring homemaker, mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with her family, fishing in Canada and relaxing in Cozumel. Marion is survived by her loving husband Delton; two sons: James Franks and Rick (Sheila) Franks; two daughters: Sandra (Gerald) Lowe and Cheryl (Curt) Evenson; grandchildren: Scott, Danielle (Jon), Michelle (Justin), Lisa, Mitchell (Nicole), Eric, Jessica, Colton, Halee; great grandchildren: Kelly, Christian, Jack, Bennet, Kaydance, Teagan, Laike, Ethan and Maya, brother Arnold as well as many other family and friends too numerous to list. She is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Tanya, grandson Justin, brother Clarence, and her sisters Violet and Pearl. We will all miss that little"peediddler". She touched and warmed the hearts of all who knew her.
