Obituary of Eugene Bushmaker
Eugene "Gene" "Bushy" Bushmaker, age 75, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Monday, February 02, 2015 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Eugene was born on February 18, 1939 to Anthony and Janet (Brostowitz) Bushmaker in Wisconsin Rapids. He graduated from Rudolph high school. Gene was a member of the United States National Guard. He married Elaine Bertram on March 3, 1958 in Bessmer, Michigan. Gene worked at the Biron mill for 10 years, Highway Trailers in Stoughton, and on the McMillian Library construction before returning to Consolidated Papers Inc., in 1968 as a millwright until his retirement.
Gene loved to travel; he enjoyed taking fishing trips to Long Lake in Phillips and Canada. He enjoyed trips to Germany and Alaska. He also enjoyed deer hunting.
Gene is survived by his wife: Elaine; two sons: Jeff (Renee) Bushmaker of Wisconsin Rapids, and Russell (Margaret) Bushmaker of Germany; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brother: Jim (Tina) Bushmaker of Rudolph, sister: Diane (Tom) Marquard of Wisconsin Rapids; four sisters-in-law: Laura, Tootie, Mary Ann (George) and Delma and brother -in -law Pete; Special friends: Sully, Larry, Jim, Len and Paul, and special helper Diane.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law: Sonny, George and Art, and sister-in-law: Joyce.
