I still think about you all of the time. The Last time I was able to see you healthy was in 2011, we walked out back to see you, in your lawn chair, with a gaggle of geese who took you on as their parent. I brought you german chocolate thay day, we talked for 46 minutes straight, I only remember the amount of time because that was the longest conversation that we ever had. Everytime I called from Germany you made sure to talk to me, even if it just for a few minutes or a hollar in the background. I am sorry I didn't make it home more often, I miss you and love you.

My Dad loved to hum and croon. He had a very deep voice and could croon like Bing Crosby.

As a young kid, I remember Mr. Reinke talking on the CB in the garage. He used special words and codes. It all seamed so mysterious. Looking back on it now, he was the first guy I ever knew who went "wireless". He was also the only dad in the neighborhood who could easily kick his foot above his head. I still can't do that.
