Obituary of Janice M. Frischman
Janice M. Frischman, age 80, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Deacon James Johnston will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Veefkind Cemetery in Spencer.
Janice was born June 2, 1934 at home in Clark County, Wisconsin to Edward and Josephine (Oestreich) Ploman. She grew up in Loyal, WI and graduated from Loyal High School. She married William Schrage in September 1953. Their marriage was blessed with four children and later ended in divorce. She married Ronald Frischman in January 2006.
Janice attended Mid-State Technical College where she received a degree in accounting and was employed in the office of Johnson Hills Department Store for several years. Her last career was home health care, where she loved to care for and talk to people at their homes.
Janice was a longtime member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church was later a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ladies of Good Shepherd and St. Luke's Lutheran Church, all in Wisconsin Rapids. Janice liked spending time quilting with her friends in the Town and Country Quilters club. She also enjoyed gardening, bicycling, reading, playing cards and writing poetry.
Janice is survived by her husband, Ronald of Wisconsin Rapids; four children: Shari (Matt) Burns of Cedar Rapids, IA, Wendy (Patrick) Schneider of Madison, Janna (Doug) Zimmerman of Green Bay, and William (Kari) Schrage of Madison; eight granddaughters: Emily, Sarah, Martha, Nicole, Matlyn, Elin, Sidney and Jolie; one brother, Glen (Ruth) Ploman of Chili, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gene, and sister, Darlene Burlingame.
