It was at St. Croix Rod that Vi met Donald Fry. Vi and Don were united in marriage at Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls, WI on August 31, 1957. Don preceded her in death on April 16, 1990.
Vi had a love for being around people, especially family. Family was always welcome at Vi and Don's, sometimes even for extended summer stays. Vi loved being outdoors gardening, fishing and camping. One of her favorite camping spots was Lake Gogebic. Vi was an excellent cook and was known especially for her delicious brownies. She was a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. Vi had a love for animals and would often feed wildlife in her yard. She also enjoyed the many pet dogs she had over the years.
