Obituary of Mary Kay Knuth
Mary Kay Knuth, age 56, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 4, 2015.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 8th from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Mary was born November 17, 1958 in Wisconsin Rapids to Harold "Peck" and Ruth (Jackson) Knuth. She was a 1976 graduate of Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. Mary married Dennis Larson in 1977, they were blessed with two children whom she adored; she married Tom Evanson in 2005, both marriages ended in divorce. She was employed by Knuth Fuel and Heating for many years. For the past fourteen years, Mary worked as a technical support specialist in the embroidery department at Land's End in Plover, WI.
Mary was a caring and giving person who always had a smile on her face. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother, her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Family gatherings were very important to Mary. She was always there to support her family whenever they needed her; especially on rodeo weekends. She enjoyed country music especially George Strait. Mary was an outdoors person who spent time soaking up the sun and planting flowers. Mary liked to shoot pool and was involved with Marshfield Clinic's Shooting for the Cure. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by one son, Joseph (Sarah) Larson, Wisconsin Rapids and their daughter Jayden; one daughter, Katie (Jacob) Johnson, Wisconsin Rapids and their daughter Leah; her brothers and sisters: Jerald (Marilyn) Knuth, Plover, Kathy (Charles) Sedevie, Ron (Mary) Knuth, Sandy Knuth, and Sue Knuth, all of Wisconsin Rapids, and Randy Knuth, Vesper; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry, and special nephew Scott "Skinny".
Memorials may be made in Mary's name to Marshfield Clinic's breast cancer research; she was a strong advocate for breast cancer awareness.
