Obituary of Thomas A. Lucas

Thomas Allen Lucas, age 67, of Tampa, FL, died on March 14, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer, God knew his pain and took him to his eternal home, we will all miss him but he is at peace. Tom was born on November 17, 1947 in Marshfield, WI, to George and Alice (Roginski) Lucas. He graduated from Assumption high school. Tom was a member of the National Guard. Tom worked for his father from the time that he was 16 years old, driving truck for G & T Lucas Equip & Co. Wisconsin Rapids and later in the office as a supervisor for truck drivers and sales. Tom was married to Linda Mrowiec for 21 years; the marriage ended in divorce. In 1989, Tom moved to Tampa, FL where he owned and operated his business, Accurate Equipment & Sales; he was in business for 21 years. Tom was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Tom is survived by his children: Marcey and Todd Lucas; grandchildren: Aaliyah, Haley, Jordan, Aiden, Dylan and Stormie; his mother Alice Lucas of Longboat Key, FL; siblings: Judy (Ken) Skorik of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Toni Lucas and Joni Chapman of Bradenton, FL; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as his special friend and caregiver Connie Mallette. He is preceded in death by his father George, niece Tammy Billman and nephew Chris Sparby. A memorial will be held for Tom at a later date. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family.
