Obituary of Lois E. Eastling

Lois E. Eastling, age 75, of Rudolph, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Paul Tonn will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 19 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and on Friday at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Lois was born on April 6, 1939 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Carl and Frances (Luth) Vollert. She attended the Bean grade school in the Town of Hanson and graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1957. In her early years she was employed by Consoweld and Sentry Insurance. Lois married Wendell Eastling on September 10, 1960 and together owned and operated a dairy farm in the Rudolph area. Lois and Wendell were blessed with nearly 55 years of marriage and three children. Lois was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church for fifty four years. Her love was spending time outdoors; whether camping, bird watching or just spending an afternoon in the family park playing dominoes with family and friends. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Badgers, and Brewers and also liked watching March Madness games. Lois is survived by her husband Wendell, children: Kurt (Kathy) Eastling of Appleton, WI, Jeff (Tina) Eastling of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and their children: Ethan Easting of Lacey, WA, Willow Eastling of Stevens Point, WI, Isaac and Isaiah Easting of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Vicki (Chris) Szews of Zimmerman, MN and their children: Courtney Szews of Culver City, CA, Hailey Szews of Duluth , MN and Addie Szews of Columbia, MO; three sisters: Carol Kobza of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Susan (David) Bean of Vesper, WI, and Alice (John) Homelvig of Bismarck, ND; three brothers: Frederic (Jeanne) Vollert of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Kenneth (Bette) Vollert of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Irvin (Sharon) Vollert of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or Saint Joseph's Hospital. The family would like to thank St. Joseph's Hospital for their thoughtful and compassionate care of Lois.
