Obituary of Rosemary G. Halbur
Rosemary G. Halbur, age 63, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Riverview Hospital.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Paul Tonn and Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 22nd at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the church.
Rosie was born on February 21, 1952 to Walter and Carreen (Woltz) Braun in Wisconsin Rapids. She married Ken on April 13, 1985 at her childhood home in Kellner. Rosie worked at the St. Luke's Preschool and ABC Children's Enrichment Center.
Rosie is known to many as "Gramma Rosie". She truly enjoyed working with children. When she wasn't rocking babies she enjoyed family time, especially the holidays when all of her children were home. She was an avid sports fan. Rosie enjoyed gardening as well as arts and crafts.
Rosie is survived by her husband Ken, children: Todd Halbur, Tina (Steven ) Halbur-Lawson, Marisa (Trent) Lund-Williams, Eric (Sandra) Halbur, Kate (Steven) McAllister and Emily (Fiancé Josh Radtke) Halbur; grandchildren: Valerie, Cheyenne, Craig, Kelly, Savannah, Stevie, Josh, Zachary, Hartley, Charles, Isabella, Owen and Nolan; siblings: Sue Ellen Becker, Bobbie (Dick)Ketchum, Linda (Greg) Tenpas; sisters-in-law: Beverly Halbur, Pat Schade, Joan Valenti and Cathy Halbur; brothers-in-law: Bill (Dorothy) Halbur and Bob Schudy. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Daniel, brothers-in-law Fritz Halbur, Link Haferman, Bob Schade, Ronnie Halbur and sister-in-law Donna Schudy.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all who helped Rosie in this difficult time, especially the Rapids Care Center, UW Cancer Center and Riverview Hospital.
