Obituary of James Robert Kell

James Robert Kell, age 78, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. James was born on April 15, 1937 in Wisconsin Rapids to Alfred and Marian (Freund) Kell. James was a 1952 graduate of Assumption High School. He married Mary Fanning on February 8, 1964 at St. Lawrence Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Jim was a milkman for 21 years before working at Consolidated Papers Inc. for 20 years. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Jim was very passionate about his family. He liked watching WE TV with his grandson Nicklaus. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Brewers fan. He liked wood working. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife Mary to many places including, Gettysberg, Washington D.C. and South Dakota. Jim is survived by his wife Mary; five children: Tammy (Mike) Steward , William (Mary Konkol) Kell, Daniel "Boon" (Joyce Brandt)Kell, Joseph (Vicki Broeckaert) Kell and Julie (Bob) Polzin; grandchildren: Elizabeth Steward, Sara Steward, Lukas Kell, Jared Kell, Kourtney Kell, Kalei Kell, Cody Bublitz, Anna Bublitz, Ben Kell, Genna Kell, Nathan Polzin, Amanda (Chase) Anderson, Nick Polzin; siblings: Robert(Patsy) Kell, Thomas(Cheryl) Kell , brothers-in-law Tom Perkofski, Bob Warren and Reg (Mary) Fanning; sisters-in-law: Ethel Fanning and Katherine Andersen, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Marian Kell, father Alfred Kell, sisters, Betty Ann Perkofski and Helen LaBarge, mother-in-law Sophie Fanning, father-in-law Frank Fanning, brothers-in-law: Marvin LaBarge, Mike Steinke and Stephen Fanning, sisters-in-law Sally Warren and Janet Steinke.
