Obituary of Chase Michael Thierer

Chase Michael Thierer, age 27, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 17, 2015 in Streamwood, Illinois. Chase was born September 8, 1987 in Eau Claire, WI to Dennis and Tammy (Brunschmid) Thierer. He attended school in Wisconsin Rapids and graduated from Lincoln High School in 2006. Chase served his country in the United States Airforce from 2006-2010 as an Avionics Technician including time overseas in Qatar, Saudi Arabia. After his military service he was employed by Enstrom Helicopter Corporation as an avionics technician and later worked for EDT Security. Chase was a private and gregarious young man. He loved the outdoors; especially hunting and fishing. He was very skilled with computers and was proud of everything he did and would tell you so. He was a good storyteller and loved to surprise people. Chase was particularly proud of working on the B-51 Bombers while serving in the Air Force. Chase is survived by his mother, Tammy Thierer; his fiancée Heather Broschardt; his siblings: Starr Skerven, West (Nicole) Sprague, Dylan Thierer and Kassie Thierer; his nieces and nephews: Dakota, Faith, Kiah and Spencer; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Dennis. A memorial visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 and will be followed by a private family service at the church. Burial with military honors will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home of Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
