Obituary of Michaeleen J. Schroeder
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Father John Swing will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at the church.
Michaeleen was born July 19, 1940 in Wisconsin Rapids to Gerald and Angeline (Rucinski) Wipfli. She married Keith Czaikowski on October 5, 1963; he died February 26, 1974. They were blessed with 9 years of marriage and four children. She later married Lyle Schroeder on August 4, 1978; he died on March 28, 1989. They were blessed with 10 years of marriage. Michaeleen was employed for 35 years as a preschool teacher. She received her Master's Degree in early childhood and psychology from University Wisconsin Stevens Point.
Michaeleen enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, and baking. She was a huge Elvis fan accruing many collectables over the years. She loved spoiling her grand children and was generous and kind to a fault.
Michaeleen is survived by her children: Stacy Cwiklo (Mark Ristau), Rockford, IL, and their son Sam Cwiklo-Ristau, Kevin Czaikowski (Lisa Meddaugh), Nekoosa, WI and their son Cole Czaikowski, Cheryl (Dennis) Routten-Labarge, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and her children Adam Steinke, Austin Steinke and Madelyn Routten, Kirby Czaikowski and his daughters Alicia Braaksma and Jael Czaikowski; sister, Annette (William) Gadow and brother Thomas Wipfli.
Michaeleen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith, her husband Lyle, infant son Gerald Louis Czaikowski, granddaughter Arica Steinke and son-in-law David Routten.
Thank you to the Wisconsin Rapids DaVita Dialysis Center and the palliative care doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital for all their care and compassion they have shown to the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for a memorial that will be established at a later date.
