Obituary of Morris A. Wolcott

Morris A. Wolcott, age 98, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Renaissance Assisted Living. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Kristi Klienbeck will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Morris was born on September 11, 1916 to Homer and Flora (Warren) Wolcott in Wisconsin Rapids. He married Doris A. Hall in 1937; she passed away on October 28, 2009. Morris was the owner of Wolcott Auto Salvage. Morris was a past president and founding member of Community State Bank. Morris was an active member of the Masons, a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Eau Claire, the Zor Shriners and the Elks Club. Morris is survived by his daughter Dolores Ironside (Joe Welling); grandsons Robert (Pamela), Thomas (deceased) and James (Shelby) Ironside; great-grandchildren: Jeremy (Stacy) and Danielle Ironside; and sister, Adeline Peckham. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Claude. A special thanks to the entire staff at Renaissance Assisted Living where Morris called home, they did an exceptional job taking care of him.
