Obituary of Adeline Martinson

Adeline Rose Martinson, age 96, of Vesper, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Bethel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Arpin. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper, WI. Rev. Doug Schalow will officiate. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Thursday. Herman-Taylor Funeral home is assisting the family. Adeline was born on June 8, 1919 to Walter and Lydia (Sidler) Marth in Marathon County. She was baptized on June 24, 1919 and confirmed April 9, 1933. Adeline's marriages to Erwin Salefski and John Martinson both ended in divorce. She was a cosmetologist and owned her own hair salon in the Milwaukee area before relocating to Vesper where she owned and operated the Shell Rock Bar until her retirement. Adeline enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She loved to spend time outdoors in her flower and vegetable gardens. Adeline was an avid hunter and snowmobiler. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Adeline is survived by several nieces and nephews and her special friend and caregiver Deb Schalow. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Lawrence, and special friend Harold. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
