Obituary of Bernadine Jane Sargent

Bernadine Jane Sargent, age 88, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at her residence. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Father Valentine Joseph will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home on Friday. Bernadine was born on March 3, 1927 to Nicholas and Martha Konapacki in Nekoosa, WI. She was the youngest child of 18. Bernadine was married to James Sargent and they were blessed with seven children. Bernadine was a certified nursing assistant for 32 years at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards. Bernadine was a hard working and very disciplined woman. Her favorite saying was "Don't be so good to yourself". She was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She enjoyed growing tomatoes. Bernadine is survived by her children: Lynda Olson, John Sargent, Richart Sargent, Debra Dahlman, Donald Sargent and Dianna Newberry; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her sister Josephine Zeman of St. Paul, MN.
