Obituary of Richard Frank
Richard "Augie" Frank, age 87, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. James Douglas will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Richard was born on February 13, 1928 to August and Alice (Wesenberg) Frank in Wisconsin Rapids. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. Augie married Lorraine Bluma on August 13, 1949 in Stevens Point; she passed away on February 6, 2009. He was employed by the Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Company as a Mason for 43 years.
In his younger years Augie enjoyed bowling and playing softball. He was a very handy man who helped build his and his daughters home. Augie was a member of the VFW Post 2534. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Brewer fan. Augie loved listening to and dancing to polka music. He liked to play card games with friends and family.
Augie is survived by his children: Cindy Kouba of Wisconsin Rapids, Doug Frank of Wisconsin Rapids and Randy (Pam) Frank of White Bear Lake, MN; grandchildren: Melissa (Josh) Saeland of Franklin, TN, Jessica (Daniel) Bradley of Plover, WI, Jason (Terina) Frank of Plymouth, MN, Dan Frank and Joe (Alice) Frank of White Bear Lake, MN; great-grandchildren: Makayla and Mason Bradley. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorriane, brother Bernie Frank and son-in-law Don Kouba.
The family would like to thank Dr. Boettcher and Aspirus Hospice for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave to Augie.
