Dear Family and Friends,
I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. Haley seemed like such a sweet person. I just wanted to leave you with an encouraging scripture that has helped me deal with the loss of a loved one. It is found in the Bible Book of Palm 34:18 here God assures us that He is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit. Hope you find comfort in this scripture like it has brought me comfort.

When Haley was small, about 4 years old, we took her and her siblings to Six Flags. On one stop at the park, we played the 'ring toss' game. You may know of it because it's very hard. You can get a bucket of rings to toss around glass coke bottle necks. Before we got all the little bodies settled to begin the game (dividing up the rings so every one has a fair shot), little Haley reached up in the bucket to grab a plastic ring. One small hand, one small ring and on the glass bottle it landed! The game attendant quickly bushelled over and asked what stuffed animal we wanted. Any one .... they were all large. Due to having made the 'ringer', we left the decision to Haley....who quickly knew what she wanted. The whale. This stuffed animal whale was about 10 feet long. In fact, Haley and her sister could lay on top of it with room to spare! So we got the whale, three little girls, Dean and myself into a Toyota Corolla....if you aren't laughing yet, many people stopped us along the way to honk, yell and ask where we got the whale. The whale stuck out of the trunk of the car about as far as the car was long. We had also won in other games and had many stuffed animals, a snake, a frog, a duck ... you get the idea of the full car. One shot, one little effort and a memory that lasts .... love you Haley Bug.

I remember that day we had a bottle and wrote letters to each other and put a picture of each other with a bunch of candy wrappers in it, and sailed it from your moms house in the river. Or the night we camped in a tent in ur back yard talking about boys and life! Or when we went to goodwill and tryed on like everything! Or when I brought you to the first football game at Scappoose I love you haybug!

Haley was a great friend to me while she lived in Oregon almost 2 years ago. She was a new student at Scappoose High School and we became friends soon after that. I'm shocked and want to believe this isn't true, but I'm going to miss her and give out my best sympathy for her family. She was an amazing friend and always had the best smile on her face.
