Obituary of Robert W. Ogilvie

Robert Ogilvie, age 92, of Wisconsin Rapids died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at The Renaissance in Wisconsin Rapids. Funeral services will at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Paul Tonn will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home of Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family. Robert was born May 28, 1923 in Wisconsin Rapids to Robert and Nellie (Hunt) Ogilvie. He was a graduate of Rudolph High School. He married Esther Wittenberg on August 15, 1950 in Nekoosa. He was employed by Consolidated Papers Inc. in the Biron Division as a papermaker for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He is survived by his wife, Esther; three children: John (Jane) Ogilvie of Windsor, CT, Joann (Michael) King of Irmo, SC, and Jane (David) Umnus of La Crosse; five grandchildren: Rachel Ogilvie, Seth (Noelle) King, Ellisha (Sean) Williams, Colleen (Andrew) Allen and Benjamin (Kathryn) Umnus; and two great-grandchildren: Malachi King and Josiah Umnus. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Virginia Gluck and one brother Donald Ogilvie. Memorials may be designated to Bethesda Lutheran Communities or Lutheran Hour Ministries.
