Obituary of Ellenora M. Miller

Ellenora M. Miller, age 98, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Our House Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. John Grohs will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family. Ellenora was born June 22, 1917 in the Town of Sigel to Andrew and Emma (Pagels) Schultz. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Ellenora married Ceylon "Cy" Miller on May 18 in Sigel; he passed away in 1988. She was employed by Preway for 24 years and for many years at Fey Publishing. Ellenora volunteered for over 27 years as a driver for the Wood County department of aging. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was involved in many aspects of the church including being a charter member of the Immanuel Evening Guild, a Sunday school teacher, and leading bible classes. Ellenora was also a member of several card playing groups, Friday Dinner Group and the Lutheran Laymens League. Ellenora is survived by her children: Lou Ann (Gerald) Gerzmehle of Wisconsin Rapids,WI and Ronald (Kathy) Miller of Green Bay, WI; grandchildren: Greg Gerzmehle of Wausau, WI , Lisa (Doug) Schanock of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Paul (Terri) Miller of Green Bay, WI, Sarah (Bill) Krouse of Green Bay, WI; great-grandchildren: Emily and Garth Schanock of Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Cy, brothers: Robert and Alvin; sisters Harriet King and Annette Nieman Voris. Memorials may be designated to the Lutheran Hour.
