Obituary of Terry R. Hargett

Terry R. Hargett, age 73, of Port Edwards, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Services will be at 11:00 A.M on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Deacon Bob Starr will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday. Terry was born on September 10, 1941 to Terry and Ellen (Ellis) Hargett in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He married Rita Gross on March 2, 1963 in Texarkana, Arkansas. Terry served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for 20 years before his retirement from service. He also worked in security at Ore-Ida Foods and Rainbow Casino. Terry was an active member of the Joseph White American Legion Post #442 and was very involved in the WWII Historical Re-enactment Society. He is survived by his wife Rita, brother Bert (Willadean) Hargett of Jonesboro, Arkansas, sister-in-law Kathy (Henry) Oliver of St. Petersburg, Florida as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
