Obituary of Donna J. McCarthy

Donna Jean McCarthy, age 80, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Kristi Kleinbeck will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Donna was born on September 7, 1934 to William H. and Dora (Westover) McCarthy in Wisconsin Rapids. Donna was employed by Consolidated Papers Inc. as a Quality Control Specialist for 37 years before her retirement. Donna was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend. She was the matriarch of the family; everyone knew that if they heard her whistle it was time to behave. Donna was an avid NASCAR fan. She enjoyed playing dominoes and card games. Her hobbies included: fishing, photography, traveling, watching the Green Bay Packers and coaching women's softball teams. Donna is survived by two sisters: Beverly Kedrowski and Thea (Tom) Provost of Wisconsin Rapids; three brothers: William (Karen) McCarthy Jr. of Vesper, Dennis McCarthy of King and Ronald (Donna) McCarthy of Nekoosa; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters: Neoma Bruner, Marlene "Chuckie" McCarthy, Phyllis McCarthy and Nancy Smith and one brother, Timothy McCarthy.
