Obituary of Jerome Theis

Jerome Theis, age 73, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be at 6:00 P.M on August 21, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Jerome was born on September 9, 1941 to Hilda Theis in Stevens Point, WI. He lived most of his adult years in Kellner and Wisconsin Rapids. Jerome was a carpet installer for over 40 years. He was the owner and operator of J&T Carpet Service. In his younger years Jerome enjoyed rodeos, motorcycle riding and training dogs. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved wildlife and took numerous hunting and fishing trips out West with his family and friends. Jerome also enjoyed gardening, cooking and had a passion for food and wildlife art. He was previously married to Genevieve Westberg, Deanna Dhein and Elaine Theis. Jerome is survived by his children: Debra (Ed) Liebe of Junction City, WI, Jeffery Theis of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, DeLanee "DeJae Theis" Collins of Los Angeles, CA and Jeremy Theis of Brooklyn, IA; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and close friends: Wally Worzella, Mickey Lazare and many others. He is preceded in death by his mother Hilda Theis, pet companion Rosa and special friend Renny Hartje. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
