Obituary of Troy R. Powalish

Troy R. Powalish, age 48, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Friday evening, August 21, 2015 at Moundview Memorial Hospital in Friendship. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Troy was born December 7, 1966 in Elgin, IL to Peter and Bernadette (Stanislawski) Powalish. He married Flora DiBenedetto on December 28, 1994 in McHenry, IL. Troy enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends; especially his daughter, Katie and his best friend T.J. Cassel. Troy is survived by his wife, Flora; one daughter, Katie; brothers: Timothy and Todd (Anita) Powalish, and Shaun Banks; sisters: Cheryl Gibbar, Sue Powalish and Mary Lou Simms; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends: T.J. (Jackie) Cassel and family, John (Carmen) Servin and family. He is preceded by his parents, brother Jeffory Banks and brothers-in-law Rick Gibbar and Doug Simms.
