Obituary of Susan Jeanne Gehrt

Susan Jeanne Gehrt, age 62, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away peacefully at her home on September 10, 2015 in Wisconsin Rapids. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Susan was born on July 16, 1953 in South Bend, IN to Bernard and Collette (Bouchette) Konkol. She married Harry Gehrt on May 27, 1972 in Wisconsin Rapids. Susan was a homemaker who cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid Wisconsin sports fan who enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Badgers and Brewers. She liked watching game shows and solving puzzles. Susan was an excellent golfer who never missed a chance to hit the greens. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and spent their last two winters in Arizona. Susan is survived by her loving husband Harry, her children: Christopher (Heather) Gehrt and Kelly Gehrt (special friend Scott Smith), grandchildren: Alyssa and Trevor Gehrt; sisters: Janis (Michael) DeBrock, Jackie Konkol, Carol Konkol, Diane Konkol, Julie (Tom) Tierman, Annie (Tim) Peterson and Cheri Konkol; brothers: Steve Konkol, Jim Konkol and Paul (Darlene) Konkol; as well as numerous nieces and nephews that are scattered around the country. She is preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Collette Konkol, brothers: John Konkol and Brian Konkol and her sister Lori Lenz.
