Obituary of George Lamb

George Lamb, age 92, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday September 28, 2015 at Mound Cemetery in Pittsville. George was born on September 17, 1923 to Charles and Bertha (Wagner) Lamb in Luverne, Iowa. George served his country in the United States Army during WWII from 1943 to 1946. He was employed by Hank's Auto in Wisconsin Rapids. George was an avid reader who had a passion for reading and writing poetry. He enjoyed fishing. George enjoyed the past eight years that he was at Strawberry Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. George is survived by his brother, Gerald (Susan) Lamb of Wisconsin Rapids and sister, Dorothy Morrow of Racine, sisters-in-law Patricia Lamb, Rachel Lamb and Dorothy Lamb all of Wisconsin Rapids, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Clarence, Alfred, Paul, Charles and Earl Lamb; sisters, Alma Whalen, Francis Wilde; sister-in-law Ethel Lamb.
