Obituary of Violet E. Lundberg
Violet E. Lundberg, age 89, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.
Services will be held at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. James Douglas will officiate. Burial will be on Friday morning at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:30 P.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Violet was born October 2, 1926 in the town of Sigel to Alvin and Lena (Budde) Ott. Her marriage to Irving Larson ended in divorce. She married Carl Lundberg on September 10, 1960 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Violet was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Violet loved country music, especially Alan Jackson, old church hymns, polkas and waltzes. She enjoyed spending time camping with family and friends.
Violet is survived by three children: Judith (Calvin) Martin, Melvin Larson and Garry Lundberg, all of Wisconsin Rapids; and two grandchildren: Daniel Martin of Wisconsin Rapids and Angela Martin Gray (Caleb Gray) of Ash Fork, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl, sister Jean Tubbs and her husband Glen, and infant brother Elmer Ott.
Violet's family would like to thank the staff of Edgewater Haven Nursing Home for their wonderful care and Aspirus Wausau Hospital for their care and concern during her brief stay with them.
