Obituary of James Alfred Rember
James Alfred Rember Jr., age 63, of Lake Geneva, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 surrounded by his family in Port Edwards.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Jim was born on July 2, 1952 to James and Elaine (Carlson) Rember Sr. in Wisconsin Rapids. He received his Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Chicago. He worked at the hospital in Woodstock, IL as a mental health and crisis intervention counselor for 29 years.
Jim served his country honorably as a member of the United Sates Army for four years of active duty and 20 years in the Army Reserves.
Jim was proud of his service to our country. He loved spending time working at the family cottage on the Wisconsin River. Jim collected clocks and was a major history enthusiast.
Jim is survived by his mother Elaine; two brothers: John (Jean) Rember and David (Traci) Rember both of Port Edwards; two sisters: Christine (Don) Lowe of Wisconsin Rapids and Marcia Rember of Virginia; two nieces: Amanda Wampler and Kelsey Rember; and two nephews: Daniel and Brogan Rember.
He is preceded in death by his father James Rember Sr., sister, Carla Rember Wampler and brother-in-law, Ronnie Wampler.
