Obituary of Scott Allen Franks

Scott Allen Franks, age 45, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Services will be at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Vance Elzinga will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services on Sunday at the funeral home. Scott was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin on June 29, 1970 to James and Cheryl (Lang) Franks. He was a very caring person who always made time for people and enjoyed helping others. Scott was very intelligent and was an excellent drawer. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time out on the family land. Scott is survived by his parents: James Franks of Bancroft, WI and Cheryl Lang-O'Dell of Wisconsin Rapids; daughter, Kelly Franks of Stevens Point; grandfather, Delton Franks of Wisconsin Rapids; half-sister, Ashley O'Dell of Boston, MA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tanya; paternal grandmother, Marion Franks; maternal grandparents: Lawrence and Irene Lang; and step-father, Robert O'Dell and step-mother Lynn Franks.
